Requirements must be met within each category to achieve certification. Unlike the Florida Water Star Residential version, Commercial/Institutional is not a points-based certification. This creates more flexibility for Commercial/Institutional applicants and reflects the wide range of project types eligible for certification.
The Process: An inspector will come to evaluate the property. If the property meets certain requirements, a certificate of compliance will be awarded. If the property does not meet certain requirements, a report will be issued.
Florida Water Star℠ inspections can be purchased on this website or directly from an approved Florida Water Star℠ inspector. If inspections are purchased here, we contact approved inspectors and let them know your project is available. We will then email you with the approved inspector for your project before they begin the project.
